GENERAL
INFORMATION
All trail rides will depart from the trail staging area. Go to the designated trail staging area and get in line for the trail of your choice. All trail rides will be approximately 1.5 hours in duration and will leave approximately every 30 minutes, unless specified in the trail description below.
A Trail Ride Leader and Tail Gunner will be present on all trail rides. In the event of a jeep breakdown on the trail, the Tail Gunner will remain with the disabled vehicle so the rest of the ride can continue. The Trail Ride Recovery Team will respond to assist the disabled vehicle. Recovery teams are there to assist in the recovery of your Jeep from a hazard, they will tow your jeep out to the front of the event and provide basic assistance. The recovery team is not equipped for trail side repair. The team is in place to keep the trails moving and render assistance when and where needed.
Please remember to use 4WD low to preserve the trails and respect the land of Clear Springs Ranch to aid in our continued use of this beautiful property!
Trail rides will be available all three days of the event during the following times:
Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm ***Staging closes at 3:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm ***Staging closes at 3:00 pm
Sunday 8:30 am – 1:30 pm ***Staging closes at 1:00 pm
ALL Trail Rides Require:
TOW HOOK FRONT AND REAR – a trailer hitch/ball is NOT a tow point, please remove them before coming to the staging area. A receiver hitch with the appropriate insert is a tow point.

4WD to be used on all trails
CB Radio strongly recommended – we recognize many have switched to GRMS, there are not enough channels to facilitate the amount of trail rides we have on the ranch at one time. A CB will enhance your experience because you will receive information from your trail guides about specific things happening on your trail.

Daytime
Trails:
The following trails are included with the initial registration fee.
Stock
The Ranch trail takes you through the ridge lines and grasslands of the south side of the ranch. This 1.5 hour adventure tour will test stock and modified jeeps alike and includes multiple water crossings, scenic views and exciting obstacles. Take in the sights along this 10-mile trail and learn about the history of the Ranch as you pass the Peace Creek cemetery. Stock Friendly, 4WD required.
The Lake Ann trail offers a fresh challenge for those wanting to experience new obstacles and explore seldom-visited sections of the ranch. Spend 1.5 hours in tight trees and wide-open plains as you make your way towards Lake Ann in the northeast corner of the property. Test your nerve with off-camber sections, hills and technical tracks designed to test the limits of a stock or lightly modified Jeep. This trail includes a run through the Sand Box. Stock Friendly, 4WD required.
Moderate
This trail offers an exhilarating trail experience featuring a few steep climbs and declines that keep participants on the edge of their seats. The potential addition of rain could introduce an extra challenge by creating muddy conditions, further intensifying the adventure. 4WD, lift & minimum 33” tires required.
You are presented with a challenging trail that tests driving skills by requiring navigation through narrow spaces between pine trees. This scenic route offers breathtaking views of the ranch, ponds, and high country, adding to the trail's allure. This trail offers a run through the Sand Box. 4WD, lift & minimum 33” tires required.
Challenging terrain with steep inclines and declines, a rock obstacle, as well as exciting off camber areas. Edge of the water scenic views and memorable fun with the chance of seeing a gator. 4WD, lift & minimum 33” tires required.
Welcome to Dragons Tail 2.0 with off camber and moguls galore. We bring back an old Sidewinder trail which is sure to provide thrills. So tighten down your bolts, secure your stuff, strap in your riders and Let's Go! Not for the faint of heart! 4WD, lift & minimum 33” tires required.
Advanced
An old favorite with a few new twists for this year! Probably the most technically demanding trail at JWJ. Test your rig and your nerve - don’t miss this one! 4WD, lift, 1 locker and minimum 35” tires required.
If you have never done this trail it isn’t to be missed. The trail is full of surprises and will ask the most of your Jeep. A few new parts for this year. 4WD, lift, 1 locker and minimum 35” tires required.
Add-on trails
The following are “add-on trails.” There is an additional fee for these specialty trails and they are very limited and sold as a first come first serve basis. If interested, participants can purchase these trails at the time of registration as open spaces allow.
White Tail Ridge Trail
Must have 4WD, lift, 1 locker, ½ tank of gas and minimum 35” tires. Reserved in advance when you register. This 16 mile trail will last approximately 4 hours and will only have 15 Jeeps per ride, running at 9 AM, 11AM and 1 PM on Friday and Saturday, and then at 9 AM and 11 AM on Sunday. There will be lots of elevation changes, amazing scenery, tight tree runs and turns, brush, steep climbs, drops, and off camber, plus some new areas added in for your enjoyment. CB STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. PLEASE NOTE: If your Jeep does not meet these requirements, you will not be permitted on the trail. No exceptions, no refunds.

Night Rides
Zig zag through sandy hills and, if the spirits are pleased, splash some mud as you take a haunting night ride through the Boneyard. You are likely to see a variety of wildlife, lots of stars, water, open fields, trees, a dilapidated barbecue, and maybe even a few surprises, but, most importantly, be prepared for … the bones! Embark on this adventure filled with ups and downs as gators watch you pass by from the lake. Wind your way through tight turns of the eerie spooky hollow and enjoy a thrilling lake crossing. Get ready for a journey that blends nature’s beauty with the rugged thrill of off-road exploration. Stock Friendly, 4WD required
Explore this exhilarating trail as you climb to the tallest point on the ranch and enjoy the panoramic view. Then descend into the dark shadows of the cemetery and beware those who still roam the ranch. Stock Friendly, 4WD required
Zeus told Pandora not to open the box, but she gave into her curiosity and unleashed both hope and misfortune. Are you brave enough to explore the mysteries this trail holds? Stock Friendly, 4WD required

PLEASE NOTE:
No ALCOHOL on the ranch at any time, including night rides.
Staging will open at 6:30pm and close at 7:20pm. The first four rides will depart at 7pm, the next four rides will depart at 7:30pm. These rides are with marker lights and underglow only. No headlights, no light bars. If time allows, we will provide a stop for pictures with all lights on. There will be a driver’s meeting before the rides leave for the trails. PCSO will be on site if any unsafe conditions arise.
On Friday and Saturday night (Feb 21 & 22, 2023) all night trail rides will depart from the trail staging area. Anyone with a night trail pass will go to the staging area with your night trail pass and get in line for the night trails at 6:30 pm, staging will close at 7:20pm.
Groups who want to go together must all be at the staging area ready to depart at the same time. CB Radio is strongly recommended for night trail rides.
